When I first started my healing journey at the end of 2009, I was very drawn to reading old books from the library and finding hidden gems like Helen Keller's books, Voltaire and Descartes 𓆃

This love for words and desire for deeper healing eventually led me to discover the writings of Rumi of Persia who lived 1207 to 1273. His writing is instant nourishment and brings clarity to spaces that feel confused, lost and broken you can view some of his writing here 𓆃

I named all of the pieces in this collection after Rumi quotes because his words are like a candle in the darkness. They can light the path for you to find your way out of any dark forest you find yourself in. They contain activating codes. All you have to do is receive the wisdom behind them with your intention, attention and power of decision as these are your sharpest tools 𓆃

I named this collection The Fierce Grace + Raw Wisdom Collection because that has been the energy of my own personal healing journey 𓆃

Each painting is created with intention, reverence and healing energy. I go deep within myself to pull out experiences from my own life that are diamonds in the rough and I work on carving them into full fledged diamonds. This transformation process is deeply healing for me, and it is my hope that it is for you as well just by viewing my art. Some paintings take me 3 hours, some take 3 months, and some take 3 years (on and off). 

It is hard for me emotionally to let go of my originals. Each piece carries memories with it, not only of my process, but also what was happening in my house while it was being created. The coos of my youngest and the giggles of my oldest. Cherished memories are interwoven into the very fabric of each painting. There is an indescribable beauty when you intertwine both grace and sorrow, joy and pain, gratitude and wanting to bottle up every moment into your heart.

What is an Embellished print?

"Embellishing" refers to hand painting over areas of the image by applying brush strokes to enhance color, and add interesting texture 🌹

After receiving the print back from the printer, I grab my paint brushes and hand paint over it to make it look like the original...it is a one-of-a-kind while adding in all kinds of nourishing healing energy for you 🌹
